The Boston Blues Society presented another successful Blues in Schools show on March 26th at Lunenburg High School in Lunenburg, MA. More than 500 students from grades 9 through 12 packed the school auditorium to see the Delta Generators, the 2008 winners of the Society's Boston Blues Challenge and our school program ambassadors.

The one-hour show featured a range of blues styles, from the early Delta style of Robert Johnson through Chicago, Texas and Memphis, to the beginning of rock 'n roll. The DGs added a few of their own songs as well.

At one point High School Principal Mike Barney was called up to the stage to jam on bass. Caryn Katz, director of the school's music department, praised the program, which was funded through a grant from the Lunenburg Cultural Council.
